EMPHATIC ABOUT CLOSING DATE OF “INDEPENDENCE” ART UNION NO TICKET SOLD AFTER JULY 31. DRAWN AUGUST 9. “Some people may be under the impression that the sale of 'lndependence’ Art Union Tickets will be extended after the published closing date. I wish to advise them that this is absolutely wrong,” answered Mr. Rov S Johnston, the Dominion Organising Secretary, when approached on the matter. “I have definite orders from the Minister for Internal Affairs that all sales must cease at midnight on Saturday, Julv 31. “The prizes will be drawn on August 9, the intervening period enabling us to complete the Double Audit System which ensures EVERY ticket being in the Ballot. And further,” Mr. Johnston added, "the results will be published throughout the Dominion, and all Prize-winners will be notified bv letter.
