DRASTIC LEGISLATION TO SAVE THE FRANC (Rec. July 13, 10.35 p.m.) London, July 13. The Brnssells correspondent of “The Times” states that owing to the franc’s collapse, the Government is diastically legislating conferring on His Majesty for six months the necessary powers to decide questions relating to the note circulations and loans. Supplies and the manufacture of brea dwill be controlled, and pure white bread will be discontinued, whereby 50,000 francs daily will be save don wheat imports. Telegraphs, telephones and railways uie being transferred into a national company, issuing three million preference shares of 500 francs each, the Government keeping the ordinary shares. Ihe Time
