THE COOMA WRECK

NEW ZEALANDERS AMONG PASSENGERS Bt Telegraph.—Press Association Christchurch, July 12. It is believed that three Christchurch residents, Messrs. J. A. Redpath, A. L. Smith and James Wilkin were on board the steamer Cooma when that vessel was wrecked at North Reef, Queensland on July 7. Another member of the party was Mr. William Cook of Auckland. News was received earlier from Mr. Redpath that the party intended to join the Cooma at Brisbane to go further noith, After the wreck cable' grams were received from Messrs. Redpath and Smith stating that they were safe on board the rescuing steamer Burwah.
