New York, July 11. At Columbus, “Bobby” Jones won the open golf championship with a score of 293. Joe Turnesa was second with 294. Tho latter was 3 up at the start of the final round, and increased his lead to 4, but ho faltered at the last three holes. Jones, playing faultless golf, covered the difficult course in 73. and overtook and beat his opponent. O’Hara (Australia) withdrew after making 91 in the first round. —Reuter.
