FRENCH CLUB
: A successful reunion of the Cercle Francais was held on Thursday night in the Pioneer Club hall. The programme (arranged by the president, Professor E. J. Boyd-Wilson) was exceptionally enjoyable. Two comedies were presented. The first (“Coteaux du Medoc”) was enacted by Miss Kathleen Birins, Professor E. J. Boyd-Wilson and Mr. Mountjoy. The second play was “Par un Jour de Pluio," in which the parts were taken by Misses Dorothy Hadfield and Mason, Professcy E. J. Boyd-Wilson, and Messrs. Lochore and Plimmer. Musical items, were given by Miss Winnie Downes, who played a Schubert piece, and Miss Malfroy, who sang "L’Anwan d’Argent.” Madame J. Bendall conducted the conversation class and Madame O_. H. Benge received. Great interest is being felt in the next piece to be put on by Professor BoydWilson, and which is planned for Wednesday, July 14 (Fete Nationale).
