GOODS TRAIN WRECKED

DRIVER AND FIREMAN GASSED IN TUNNEL. Sydney, July 10. A goods train bound from Sydney to Werris Creek got out of control, and was derailed near Muriurttndi. . The fireman, John Heffernan, was killed, and the driver, Holt, was taken to hospital with severe burns. The train was completelv wrecked. It is stated that the driver and fireman were overcome bv fumes in a tunnel, and the; train dashed for several miles at a high speed with the two lying unconscious in the cab of the engine.—Press Assn.
