A very interesting specimen of Maori face tattoo (Moko pn) lias been loaned to the New Plymouth Museum Istat’s “The Taranaki Daily News”). Tt is '.l drawing of n full-sized Maori head, upon which has been worked, in artistic penmanship, a particularly true representation of one of the most intricate patterns of tattoo formerly used bv the Maoris in facial decoration Mr W F Gordon, draughtsman, New Plymouth, was rssponsible for the work anil has now had it placed iu the local museum.
