An Order-in-Council in the Gazette prescribes tho term for which the Wellington City Council may borrow the sum of £106,000, being a further portion of the loan of £664,887 authorised to hO raised for power station construction and tramways improvement, as for thirty years, and the rate of interest at 5J per eent. Permission is also granted the council Io borrow £21,000, being a further portion of tho loan of 4:129,150 authorised for street works, for a term of 30 years at 5| per cent. The raising of UtlOOl) for general improvements is also authorised, the term and interest being the same as for the other loans.
