CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
THE PAT vl-pcton NORTH MEETING. BY Telegraph.— Press association. Palmerston North, July 7. The clay pigeon shooting meeting was continued to-day. The sweepstake event served as a “sighter” for the North Island championship this afternoon. Five competitors tied, Meehan (Palmerston), Dobson (Auckland), Seddon (Hamilton), Rote (Marton), and Crabb (Marton). Up to noon the third round in the championship has been fired. Those without a miss were Clinch (Pokako)', last year’s winner, McLachlan (Masterton), Burgess (Wanganui), Quartermain (Taihaple), Dobson (Auckland), Donald (Palmerston), Rofe (Marton), and Peter Meehan (Palmerston).
