A strong band of polic constables and warders continued the search yesterday for William Howell, the youthful Borstal Institute inmate who escaped from custody on Wednesday afternoon. During the night he apparently travelled a distance of about 20 miles o Greenhill’s, where he made a daring visit this morning to the store He was recognised as the “wanted” man, but the residents made no attempt to detain nim, and he finally, disappeared in the scrub. The search is being continued.
