f ; YOUTH SERIOUSLY BURNED By telegraph,— press Association. Tauranga, June 21. . Yesterday afternoon, Robert Gray (aged 16), went out alone in a launch. When near the harbour entrance the engine gave trouble and apparently back-fired, throwing the youth down and rendering him unconscious. The launch took fire, and the boy was seriously burned about the face, arms and legs. Later, he regained conscious--ncss, and, despite his injuries, rowed a dinghy for a short distance, when lie was seen and taken to hospital. His condition is critical. The launch was badly burnt, and sank.
