» RESIGNATION OF SELECTOR.;/ By Telegraph.—Press association. ■ Auckland, June IS. The dispute between the executive and selector, Mr. Kent, reached a climax at a meeting of the Auckland Hockey Association to-day, Mr. Kent a resignation being tendered and accepted. The meeting, by 11 votes to 3, had previously resolved to accept an apology and withdrawal by Mr. Kent of his statement in the Press that the association had refused an A and B trial match. Mr. Kent declined, saying he was justified in acting as he did. The secretary was instructed to notify Mr. W. Newsham that ho had been appointed selector. • I
