PRINCE’S REMARKABLE ESCAPE
TYRES BURST ON CAR
(Rec. June 20, 11.25 p.m.) London, June 20.
The Prince of Wales had a remarkable escape. He was himself driving a motor-car to Sandwich with a gentleman and two ladies, when, accounts say, two tires burst simultaneously and the car swerved, but the Prince pulled up safely. He opened the tool box with a view to repairing the damage, but finding that two tires had burst, while he had only one spare, he waited until another car containing friends overtook him.—Aus.-N.Z.
