OWNERS’ INVITATION TO CONFERENCE
MR. COOK’S ATTITUDE (Rec. June 8, 8.55 p.m.) London, June 7. Mr. Cook announced that he was prepared to recommend the miners' executive meeting on June 8 to accept the Invitation of Mr. Evan Williams, chairman of the British Coalowners’ Association, to a conference to seek a basis of igreement, not involving . reduced wages or longer hours.—Sydney “Sun" Cable.
