POLICE AND CIVIL CASES Mr. E. Page. S.M., dealt with the police cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. A further remand until Juno 1G was granted in the case of John Arthur Cormack, a meter reader (aged 28), who appeared on a charge of stealing 4:108 J2s. 2d. the property of the Wellington City Council while in the emp.oy of the electric light department. ' Bail in the sum 01 4:200 was renewed. Ronald Cazalet Bloxham, a clerk (aged 21) was remanded until this morning on a charge of breaking and entering by day the house of Charlton Morpeth, Wellington Terrace, and stealing jewellery valued at .£lOO, the property of Oenene Margaret Grigg. He was also charged with the theft of £2, the property of Percival Myers. Bail was granted tho accused in the sum of .£lOO with one surety of 4:100.
