Browne, president of the New Zealand Natives’ Association, from the Minister of Lands (Hon A I). McLeod). in reply to n telegram sent by >iim calling upon the Minister to withdraw a statement that unemployment was no worse than in the last two years and flint a political cry was,being made out of it.—“ Your telegram 'received, T see no reason for retracting the statement made in Christchurch. Your own telegram shows that the first obiect of vour association is fo discredit Hm Government’s immigration policy. Signed A. D. McLeod."
