AUSTRALIAN COAL STOPPAGE
THROWS MANY MEN OUT OF WORK. (Rec. June 7, 10.25 p.m.) Sydney, June 7. Several mills at Broken Hill Proprietary Steel Works have closed owing to the coal strike, Tendering 500 employees idle. Supplies for other parts of the works, where 3000 hands are employed, will last only another fortnight—Press Assn.
