WAR RELIEF CLAIMS NOT DECREASING By Telegraph.—VrEss Association Dunedin, May 31. At the annual meeting of the Otago Patriotic Societv, Mr. J. J. Clark, chairman of the Soldiers’ Dependants’ Committee. drew attention to the fact that eight years after the end of the war thev were meeting as many claims as formerly, due to many breakdowns. On many occasions the society liad criticised the Pensions Board, but there was no doubt that now pensions were given where at all possible, and many cases turned down ruthlessly in _ the past were now receiving good pensions. The society owed thanks to the Government.
