CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

GOOD CHOICE FOR CITY COUNCIL Speaking about the applications for the positions of town clerk and city engineer, the Mayor (Mr. C. J. B. Norwood) said yesterday that he nad spent some hours on them at the week-qnd, and was quite sure that there were some very fine applicants, to judge by their credentials, and that the City Council would eventually have a good choice. At one time he had thought of calling a special council meeting this week to proceed with the examination of the applications, but instead of that there would be a special meeting of the Finance Committee for the purpose of going into the applications and fining them -down a little.
