« — WIDESPREAD DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Tokio, May 27. The Hokkaido eruption destroyed 12 miles of the Furano River, 5 miles of the Kambetsu River, 33 bridges, and 730 houses. The damage is estimated at 8f million yeti.
