TAITA ROAD OPEN FOR THREE HOURS TO-DAY

— WORK PROGRESSING WELL Mr! A. H. Benham, Hutt County engineer, reported yesterday, that the work of clearing away the big slip on the Taita Gorge load was to again be carried out throughout last night by the relief gangs, recruited from the ranks of the unemployed. To-day the road will be open from. 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., from 12 noon until 1, and from 5 p.m to 6 p.m. The night gangs will carry on the work again to-night, and to-morrow the road will be open all day. On Monday it is expected that traffic will be able to pass during the same hours as hold for to-day.
