MAGISTRATE’S COURT

Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. For a second offence of drunkenness, William Kelly, alias Jinai’d, was convicted and discharged. Pleading guilty to a charge of baing found by night without lawful excuse, but in circumstances disclosing the intent of no other crime, in a shed on the Thorndon railway yard, George Pollock. a labourer (aged 48) was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within twelve months. Maggie McGregor, a domestic (aged 4t), was remanded for one week on a charge of stealing a blanket valued at £1 55., the property of Annie Wallis.
