EXTENSION OF HOSTEL —— I The Government hostel at Waitomo Caves ’again failed to cope with the Easter traffic It appears that last year’s vote-of £25,000 for. extending the hostel was drawn upon only to the extent of preparing the site; but during the present financial year a good deal will be done, and it is hoped that the extension will be available for next holiday season. On the recommendation of.the.Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minis-ter-in-Charge of the Tourist Department, Cabinet has decided to proceed with the work.
