SILENT BALLROOM
DANCING WITHOUT MUSIC (Rec. March 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 27. The ghostly spectacle of dancers moving rhythmically round a ballroom without music, but with earphones on their heads, is promised bv Professor Low at a coming West End fiinction. Professor Low states that he is sympathetic towards non-dancers who are disturbed bv continuous jazz music, nnd therefore he is carrying out an experiment, using headphones, fitted for inductive transmission. Music, will be nlaved elsewhere in the building and the transmitter will be concealed in curtains.
Inductive transmission is only possib’e for short distances. The dancers will hear perfectly and the non-dancers will not be disturbed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
