SHAW’S “PYGMALION” TO BE PRODUCED. An enthusiastic and representative gathering passed the rules of the newlyformed National Repertory Society at their rooms, 78 Lambton Quay, last night. Mr. Baldwin presided, in the absence of Mr. D. M. Findlay. Mr. W. M. Page, the honorary secretary, read the committee’s report to the general meeting, which included a very satisfactory foundation members and ordinary subscribers’ fund. An interesting discussion evolved several directions and suggestions to the, committee, which is now constituted as follows: —President, Mr. D. M Findlay; hon. secretary, Mr. Burden; hon. treasurer. Mr. Facer: Miss Hilda Miles and Messrs. Page, Baldwin, and Nntuseh. It was announced that the director. Mr. Leo du Chateau had recommended Bernard Shaw’s "Pygmalion” for the society’s first production, and that the cast would Ire announced during the week. Mr. W. Beck, the well-known scenic artist, will probably be in charge of the stage settings.
