WAITOMO STILL HELD UP. Bt Telegraph.— 5 -t>oN Auckland. March 1. Endeavours were made to-day to settle the dispute on the Waitonio, but without result. The firemen are emphatic that they will not take the steamer to sea unless the cook is discharged He was formerly assistant cook on the mail steamer Niagara for ten vears.
