The Seatoun delegates mentioned the destruction of the pinnacle rocks along the foreshore towards Lyall Bay from Breaker Bay and it was decided to send a letter to thc City Council strongly nro testing and asking that steps be taken to stop such vandalism in future. It was pointed out that there were tons of good metal on the. shore which could be used for road-making, and that there was no excuse for tho destruction of these rocks. Some misunderstanding having arisen over a resolution reported in the daily Press referring to the eastern suburbs tunnel, the position was explained by the president, nnd after discussion the misunderstanding was satisfactorily cleared up. At the league’s request, Mr. E. A. Batt, president of the Hataitai Municipal Association, agreed to address‘a meeting at Lyall Bav explaining the Rixon Grove route for the tunnel. The league intends to wait upon the council at an early date to urge it to examine further the Rixon Grove route, as it was considered that sufficient consideration had not been given to this route by the City Council officials. ■
