SCOULLAR COMPANY PICNIC

The employees of the- Scoullar Company held their annual picnlo by per, mission of the Wellington Itacing dub, at Trantham racecourse,, on Saturday,, when about 120 employees ami friends spent a most enjoyable day. A sports programme was arranged, and the '•aliens events were well contested. In presenting the prizes to the winners, Mr. F. Campbell congratulated the committee on their: efforts and thanked' those who had helped, to make the occasion such n success. . Miss Bennett; Hobble Knee (men). Mr. Weine: Single Ladies’ Race,. Miss Turner; Apprentices Race. F. Platt; Cigarette Race. Miss Jackson and Mr. Tavlor: Married Men’s Race. Mr. Davis 1, Mr Taylor 2: Threelegged Race, 'Miss Bennett and Mr. McFarlane; Fgg and Spoon Race (ladies). Miss Campbell; Egg and Spoon Race Inion),. Mr. Howell: Thread-tho-Needle Race.
