AN WASHED OVERBOARD
BROUGHT BACK BY NEXT SEA By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, February 16. When the steamer Rimu was outward bound from Oneliunga to Kawhia and Raglan last Thursday, William Downey, chief cook, aged 50 years, had a startling experience. The Rimu was crosfing the Manukau bar, when a sea swept the deck, washing Downey ovet the side, and then o huge sea following landed him on the deck again, with three ribs broken and his right leg severely, injured. He is expected to be incapacitated for about six weeks.
