The top picture shows R. A. Rose in his magnificent finishing effort at Athletic Park last Saturday when starting mark with the American Hahn he turned the tables on that line runner, beating him by about 8 yards, amidst a scene of tremendouse enthusiasm. In the photograph, Hahn (in white) is seen finishing in fourth place. Priestly, of Victoria College (50yds.), was good second, and H. Cook (70yds.) third. In the lower picture, Scholz, the American, is seen winning the 220yds. with a characteristic dash at the finish. It was a fine effort, as was also his win in the 100yds. -Staff photographer.
