A meeting of the council of the Kew Zealand Amateur Rowing Association was held on Monday, Mr. E. S. Innes presiding. The question of the ownership ot Hie cup won by I. W. Jhe council however, considered that as 'he event was not a championship one. they should be guided by the wishes oi tho local association (Otago) and as that body had intimated that by holding the race in clinker boats considerably more entries would be forthcoming from the Southland and Otago districts it was decided that no alteration need bo made. Mr. 11. G. Alderson was appointed to act as New Zealand’s representative in Australia, in place of Mr. S. A. Maxwell, who for business reasons has had to relinquish office for at least six months.
