COUNCIL ABOLITION
NEW SOUTH WALES BILL THE MOTION OF CENSURE Sydney, February 10. It was announced in the Legislative Assembly that the Upper House Abolition Bill would not be brought along till the end of the session, which will come in about two weeks. Mr. Bavin’s motion of censure will have' to take its place on the business paper and will probably lapse, members of the Government treating it with contempt.—Press Assn. (Rec. In the Legislative Assembly Mr. Lang practically dismissed the censure motion from serious consideration by stating that as soon as the House was free of other business the motion would be debated.—Press Assn/ MEMORIAL OF PROTEST AGAINST ABOLITION OF COUNCIL Sydney, February 10. A pre-sessional meeting of the State Coalition Party dec ; ded to prepare a memorial protesting against the abolition of the Legislative Council. It is understood that the members of the State Country Party will also attach their signatures to the memorial, which will be sent to the Secretary for the Dominions. It will endorse the contents of the memorial recently signed by the membjrs of the Legis. lative Council.—Press Assn.
