SALE OF MAHINA BAY SUBDIVISION
Messrs. S. George Nathan and Co. submitted to public auction yesterday afternoon, at tlieir rooms, 105 Customhouse Quay, under instructions from the Hutt County Council, 15 seaside home sites, on the main Eastbourne Road and Jlahina Road. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bidding was keen throughout, and every section was sold, 13 being sold under the hammer, and the remaining two sections directly afterwards. The sections realised from £75 to £l6O. Lot 1, £l4O, Mr. J. Harris, as agent; Lot 2, £llO, Mr. T. Sherlaw; Lot 4, £l4O, Mrs. E. Mulhern; Lot ft, £l5O, Mr. E. H. Liddle; I,ot 8, £75, Mr. C. V. Fordham; Lot 9, £lOO,. Mr. F. -W. Vickerman; Lot 10, £9O; Mr. D. 11. Fouhy; Lot 13, £lOO, Miss Craddock; Let 11, £120; Lot 12, £120; Lot 14, £150; Lot 15, £160; Lot 16, £B5; Lot 17, £100; Lot 18, £75. ‘ The latter sections were sold to Mr. E. Birch, as agent. The total sale realised £1715. The firm also offered two small cottages and a vacant section at Paraparaumu Bech. As the reserve was not reached they were passed and are now in the hands of the auctioneers for private sale. '
