The Public Prosecutor asked the examining Magistrate to arrest Bishop Zadravccs, Chaplain-General of the Hungarian Army, in connection with the bank-note scandal, but the Magistrate refused The authorities also declined to prosecute the bishop, on the ground that he had not engaged in criminal transactions, and had not attempted to flee from justice. Count Apponvi. m a speech at a social club, declared that supporters of legitimism were organising, not on political but social lines. The next step would be the institution of an organisation of Hungarian women, under the presidency of Countess Apponvi. He added that the wasps’ nest of forger# must be smoked out. —Reuter.
