EARLY SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION
Anniversary Day this year will be celebrated bv the Early Settlers' Association by the holding of a reunion on Friday afternoon and evening in tire Early Settlers’ Hall, Abel Smith Street. The‘afternoon gathering is expected to be attended by the older members and earlv settlers, and the birthday cake will’be cut with suitable ceremony. The. evening will be devoted to musical items, dancing, etc., to suit the tastes of old and young. It is interesting to note that there is still at least one lady with us to-dav who took part in the first Anniversary Dav festivities held in Port Nicholson in January, 1841. Au open invitation is extended to all earlv settlers who may be visiting town, as well as members ’and friends.
