PALMERSTON PERSONAL ITEMS
At the local office of the .State Forest Service on Monday, Mr. S. A. C. Darby, Acting-Officer in Charge of the Wellington Conservation Region for the last five years, received a presentation from the field and office staff. Mr. G. R. Crowlev, senior ranger for the Wellington district, in presenting Mr. Darby with a handsome suit case, suitably inscribed, expressed the sincere regret of the staff at his departure. He asked that the gift be regarded as embodying the sincerest good wishes of the staff, and concluded by wishing the recipient success and prosperity in his new sphere. Mr. Darby will leave on Wednesday for Nelson, for which region he lias been appointed conservatoi.
