CASTRO ENTERITIS

OUTBREAK IN RELIGIOUS CAMP By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 18. An outbreak of gastro enteritis has rather marred a camp of Cooneyites which is being held in a field off New Windsor Road, Avondale. So far be.twcen forty and fifty' cases have been reported, and the Auckland Health Office is now busy making inquiries into the possible cause. So far the only causes suspected are tinned food or contaminated food. None of the cases are very serious. It is understood that the epidemic has nothing whatever to do with the water supply. The Cooneyites arc a religions sect, and are holding a convention which is being attended, by delegates from various parts of New Zealand.
