SPAHLINGER REMEDY
TREATMENT FOR BRITAIN
SCHEME FOR RAISING BIG
FUND London, January 17. A scheme for the raising of a £lOO,OOO fund for the purpose, of obtaining the Spahlinger tuberculosis treatment for Britain has been announced in Manchester. Of the fund, £lO,OOO is required to secure land and laboratories at Geneva, the remainder to extend tlie scope of the treatment for other diseases.—Reuter.
SUM VOTED BY NATIONAL
SEAMEN’S UNION
London, January 17. The National Union of Seamen has voted a sum of £lOOO to any fund that may be started by the Parliamentary Committee of ths Trades Union Congross for the development of ,the Spanlinger treatment of tuberculosis in order to enable the treatment to be brougnt within the reach of the workers. l,je secretary of the union’s committee sain that the idea was to .encourage other trade unions to participate in -ecnring the Spahlinger treatment for the benefit of all trade unionist’. —Aus.-N.Z.
