The Auckland cricket competitions were resumed ou Saturday in good weather. Parnell had made only 9b in the first innings against Ponsonbv’s 175. and the second innings to-day yielded 181 (Anthony 16, Broberg 37 not out). Ponsonbv had to make 103 runs in an hour to score a three-point win, but could make only 54 runs for six wickets, thus scoring a two-point win. Harvey fopk five wicket* lor 11 runs. Brinsden (21.) and Commons (13) were the onlv batsmen to reach double figures. Tiie University-Grafton match resulted in a two-point win for University bv 50 runs on the first innings. University’s first innings reached 178, against Grafton’s 128. Grafton’s second innings realised IB! (Horspool 54, Sloman 41) and University lost five wickets for 72 runs (W. Garrard 35)._ North Shore scored a two-point win over Eden. North Shore's first innings realised 229. Eden replying with 106 (Weir 61). Eden, in the second innings, lost three wickets for 53 runs (Mills 26). Bowling for North Shore in the first innings, Coates took, five wickets for 25 runs.
