FLOODS IN SOUTH OF FRANCE. London', January There are heavy snowfalls to-day tn London, the Midlands, and Wales. Hunting has been abandoned.—Reuter. (Rcc. January 15, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 14. England is getting the tail end- of the storm which has plunged most of Europe into the bitterest cold. Even Rome is snow covered, end round the Gulf of Lions the towns are flooded for the first time in history, while Perpignan is completely isolated. Six hundred fishing families on the Barcelona coast have been ren'dered homeless. Huge waves are sweeping over the tide marks.—Aus.-NZ, Cable Assn.
