The weekly meeting of the Pioneer Lodge, No. "11, was held on Monday night, when rhe item on the programme was “Sisleis’ Night.” Sister Richards was in charge, and an excellent programme was carried out. 'J he business part of tho meeting was very interesting. Three new members were proposed for membership, and are to Be initiated next meeting. Several visitors rendered items, anil a very fine duet was given by Misses Queenie McLean and Brightwell, dressed in the early Victorian period. Dliss Charles and Dliss Dingle gave very interesting recitations. Sisters Mrs. Price, Turnbull, and Miss Earl, assisted by songs, Mrs, Dlorris acting as accompanist. Supper was served and a very pleasant and profitable meeting was brought to a close by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” A now juvenile temple in connection with Pioneer Lodge was opened ou .Monday last, under very promising conditiiius. The G.S.J.W., Bro. Trevethiek, instituted the temple as Sunbeam Temple, No* 20, assisted by Sister Mrs. Hurst, district superintendent, who installed the new officers. Members from tho Rising Star and the. Star of Melrose officered the temple for the opening ceremony. Several members who were unable to be present will be joining v.p next Dlonday.
