GREAT GATHERING IN INDIA London, January 10. The "Daily Sketch” states that thousands of delegates from the Theosophical Society’s branches in thirtythree countries, including seventy-one Australians and New Zealanders, have assembled at Adyar, India, awaiting the coming of the new Messiah. Mrs. Annie Besant, President of the Theosophical Society, declares that the great beings ruling the world, including the King of the World, have revealed to her that the new Prince of Peace is hastening his coming with the purpose of preventing another war. Tie will inaugurate a religion uniting all religions throughout the world. A voting Hindu, Krishna Murti, whom Airs. Besant lias been training for manv vears as a prophet, will be the vehicle whereby the Messiah, or world-teacher, will come, Krishna Murti lending his bodv to the spiritual entity as, according to the old Christian tradition, Jesus lent his body to Christ. Seven Apostles out of twelve to t-ceom-panv the Messiah on a preaching mission have already been selected, and include Mrs. Besant, the Rev. Oscar Kollerstrom, of the Australian Liberal Catholic Church, and Bishops Leadbeter and Wedgwood, of the Liberal Catholic Church', also a Buddhist and a Hindu woman.—Sydney “Sun” Cable
