BY NEW ZEALAND CRICKET TEAM AGAINST MAITLAND DISTRICT DOUBLE CENTURY BY DACRE (Rec. January 11, 11.40 p.m.) Sydney, January 11. The New Zealand team commenced a match against Maitland district at West Maitland. The weather was fine and the wicket good. The New Zealanders gave the local team a leather hunt. The bowling was completely collared. Dacre gave a sparkling exhibition, one of. the best seen on the ground. Crawford and James also batted brilliantly and helped to add to Maitland’s misfortune. It was a long time, if ever before, that Maitland spectators saw over 600 scored in one dav’s play. 'The local liowlers were outclassed, and following Dacic’s innings the visiting batsmen did as thev pleased with the bowling. The following are the scores NEW ZEALAND. First Innings. Blunt, c.
