MAJORITY OF PASSENGERS AND ESCORT MURDERED

(Rec. January 11, 5.15-p.m.) Mexico City, January 10. A passenger train was attacked by bandits between Guadalajara and Mexico City. The majority- of the passengers were murdered, and most of the military escort were killed, according to a report received here from Guadalajara.—Reuter.

(Rec. January 11, 9.25 p.m.) Mexico City, January 10. Twenty armed men boarded the train at Guadalajara and suddenly began knifing the soldiers and robbing and killing the passengers. Of the military escort all but seven were killed, and those were seriously wounded. The train was burned, with the victims. The bandits, who under the orders of the former Co'onel Nunez, made their escape on the engine, carring <iwav 300,000 peses in booty. Telegraph communication was cut.—Reuter.
