NOMINATED UNDER CHURCH OB ENGLAND SCHEME. (Rcc. January 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 8. The Oversea Settlement Department states that the Church of England Council of Empire Settlement, which was appointed by the Church Assembly to deni with migration matters on' its behalf, and which started operations in April last under the chairmanship of Earl Jcllicoe, has now received well over two thousand nominations for migrants wishing to probecd to Australia and New Zealand. Among the last of the nominations received was one from New Zealand for fifty lads.—Renter.
