POSTMEN’S PICNIC

The Wellington Postmen’s Social Club held their annual picnic at the Hutt Park racecourse. There was a large turnout of members and their friends, and a most enjoyable day was spent. The party was conveyed to the grounds bv six large motor-buses and throe motor-lorries. The children were specially well catered for. there being un abundance of fruit, lollies, toys, milk, soft drinks, besides races. The adults were treated to a large and varied sports programme, for which the following, nblv assisted by the committee, acted in the following official capacities: J.udges. Captain Dawson and Messrs, A. 11. Steele and E. Gamble; handicappers. Messrs. R. IL Reynolds and ,T, O'Neill; starter. Mr. J. Cusack. The results of the various events are as follow. —
