< PEGGY SCORES AGAIN. The two races held by tho R.P.N.Y. Club on Saturday afternoon in light southerly weather resulted as follow: — 18-FOOT AND UNDER CLASS (Commenced at 3.15 p.m.) Peggy (M. Crawford), scr., 4hr. 44min. 55seo 1 Geisha. 7min., 4JiY. 54min. 43sec 3 Wellesley (B. White), linin., 4hr. iSmih. 50sec 3 All Black (C. Rountree), Imin., 4hr. 52min. 35sec 4 From a good start All Black got away first and led to the first buoy, being a few seconds ahead of Peggy, with the Wellesley a close third. On the run to Coromandel the AU Black increased her lead, but on tho windward beat to Clyde Quay the Peggy gained and passed tho Wellesley and AH Black and secured a good lead. On the second round Peggy increased her lend practically all the way, and went on to win by 2min. ISsec. f'om Geisha on ithe corrected times. LADIES’ RACE (Commenced at 3 p.m.). Mana (Mrs. Cull), 14min., 4hr. 54mln. 22s?c 1 Ailsa (Mrs. Millman), scr., 4hr. 41mln. 32sec 2 Rawene (Miss Hewitt), 16min., 4hr. 58min. 57sec 3 The course led from tho starting line between Clyde Quay and King’s Wharves to Jemingharn, to hulks, and back to Clyde Quay (twice around). Ailsa lost a couple of roinutos at the start and at Jerningham Mana had established a substantial lead from Rawene. Ailsa caugM: up on tho beat betwee.n the hulks n.nd Clyde Quay on Hie first round and increased her lead on thy second round, but not by enough to beat, the handicaps. Mana winning by Imin. lOsee. on the corrected times. Tho weather was ideal for a ladies’ race, ajid the fair heltnswomen acquitted themselves very creditably.
