A SENSATIONAL LEAP
ALLEGED BURGLAR INTERRUPTED

Christchurch, January 8. A sensational leap from the third story window of the Dominion Hotel was’made by a man who was interrupted while going through the bedrooms at six o’clock to-night. When accosted by the licensee be ’raised the window and jumped, landing on his hands and knees on a grass plot. 'Jo the surprise of his pursuers, he got to his feet and made off, but was captured by detectives.
When examined at the police station the man was bleeding from the face, but there was no sign of other injury. I’hc man was sent to the hospital, and later will appear at the Court on a charge of theft. About £1 is missing .from the hotel rooms.
