UNHAPPY DOMESTIC LIFE

ART DEALER’S SUICIDE. Berlin. January 7. Paul Cassierer, a well' known art dealer and publisher, committed suicide following unhappy domestic relations with his wife, the actress, Tilla Durieux, who achieved an unchallenged position at the head of her. profession as an impersonator of volcanic temperaments, including Oscar Wilde’s characters. A suit of dissolution of marriage was lodged after nineteen years of married life, and the parties met in the presence of lawyers to arrange financial matters. Then Cassierer went into an adjoining room, aimed a revolver at his heart, and died in a few hours.— Reuter.
