Barnes v- Stcuhouse.—This unfinished game went to a hundred moves and Stcuhouse resigned. Anderson v. Crakantliorp (French Defence). —Crakantliorp needing only a draw plaved with extra caution and obtained his end. Erskine v. Moir. —This unfinished game developed into a complicated qame and was won by Moir. I’ihl v. Barnes.—Barnes, with liis material advantage, succeeded in eventually winning. In the finals, Davies defeated Purdy, Miller defeated Hicks, Kelling defeated Fairburn. The unfinished game Miller v. Davies was not completed when the time for the presentation of the prizes arrived and Davies then resigned.
